Michelle Price

Michelle Price is the CEO for AustCyber. She was the inaugural Chief Operating Officer of AustCyber, joining the company in January 2017 and appointed as CEO in April 2018. Prior to joining AustCyber, Michelle was the first Senior Adviser for Cyber Security at the National Security College within The Australian National University, where she established an integrated approach to the College’s cyber security program across executive and postgraduate education and policy engagement. AustCyber was established in 2017 as part of the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Centres Initiative and announced both as part of the Government’s National Innovation and Science Agenda and Australia’s Cyber Security Strategy.

Leanne Cameron | Lecturer, Design, Digital And Technologies Education Southern Cross University

Leanne Cameron is currently Lecturer in Design, Digital and Technologies Education in the School of Education at Southern Cross University, Coffs Harbour and she has published widely in the area of effective technology integration in education. She is particularly sought after for presentations on the use of social media and Web2.0 tools in education and learning design. Leanne’s current interest lies in ensuring our teachers are skilled up to meet the challenges of the new Australian Technologies curriculum implementation.

Jane Cameron

After graduating from Sydney University, and later the University of Technology, Sydney, Jane has for the past 20 years run her own design practice, Fisheye Design, in Sydney. Jane has taught in the fields of design, art and film theory and practice for the past 5 years at the Wentworth Institute, and in the field of design theory and history for the past 3 years at JMC Academy. She has also previously taught design theory at Enmore Design Centre. Currently, Jane is exploring emerging technologies and their application for designers and artists - in particular projection mapping.

Claudio Lai

Claudio Lai was born in Rome, Italy and migrated to Sydney, Australia at a young age. He graduated in 1988 from Newington College in Sydney. In 1989, Claudio worked in the News Department for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC-Channel 2) as well as on various independent documentary projects. In 1991 Claudio moved to the U.S. and attended the University of Southern California’s Film School. In 2007 Claudio started a new company called FluidCast Technologies devoted to the development of a next generation cloud-based content monetization platform and currently is the CEO and president of FluidCast Technologies, LLC, the exclusive licensee of the FluidCast platform technology. Recently, Claudio has produced numerous videos for Borderplex in El Paso, Texas. He has created a groundbreaking film in virtual reality called “The Wall VR” which was shown on PBS. This film has been shown and won multiple awards around the world including: Canada, United States, Spain, United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

Jason Rigg-Mcpherson

Executive Director of Technology StratosMedia – Jason has been worked in the development of internet technology for the last 22 years. StratosMedia is a global software as a service provider for Connected digital out of home experiences. Specializing in Digital Media, Out of home media, and wifi services. He leads StratosMedia’s technical partnerships, research and co development teams with Google, Microsoft, Huawei and NEC. StratosMedia’s research is based in the areas of Wifi, 3-5g wireless, Machine learning and 4-8k video delivery platforms. Jason’s Specific Research Area’s include; Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Video Compression, Radio Frequency Analytics/engineering Current Research Project. Signal Processing to detect humans and gestures using passive reception of 4g mobile frequencies.

Chris Ebeling

Driven by crafting unique visual experiences for Film, TV, Games and emerging technologies, Chris Ebeling is a world-class Animator, Creative Director and Digital Artist having worked on Hollywood blockbusters such as The Lego Movie’s, The Great Gatsby, Gods of Egypt and Happy feet 2. Supplementing his extensive film and VFX background, Chris has successfully creative directed projects in the real-time space, with experience across games and experiences in Virtual and augmented reality. Chris’s experience in feature film animation joined with his leadership in education and mentoring made him an ideal candidate for this crucial role in laying the foundations for the Animal Logic Academy at the University of Technology, Sydney, where he currently acts as the Creative Lead.

Alwyn Hunt

Alwyn is co-founder of The Rookies. He has a background in fine arts and has been in the Visual Effects industry for over 15 years. He has worked at a number of studios around the world including Sony Imageworks, The Moving Picture Company, Double Negative, Animal Logic, Rising Sun Pictures and Weta Digital.

His main film credits include Harry Potter, Watchmen, The Wolfman, Alice in Wonderland, John Carter, The Hobbit 1 & 2, Logan, Thor: Ragnarok and more recently Tomb Raider. Alwyn has a passion for the industry and an interest in helping create pathways for emerging artists into leading studios globally.
